Editing comes before proofreading. Editing involves making direct changes and suggestions that will improve the overall quality of your writing. After editing, your language will be sharp and consistent, your expression clear and the overall readability of your writing enhanced. Proofreading is usually the final step before publishing your work, and this involves correcting surface errors in writing, such as grammatical, spelling, punctuation and other language mistakes. Finishing Touches Edu provides BOTH proofreading and editing at an affordable price!

If you wish to make your writing better, then editing is the service for you. If you want a final check on your work before publication, then proofreading is for you. 

Students (school students and University students) and businesses may wish to get the editing service, while authors will benefit from the proofreading service. 

A rule of thumb: If you are satisfied with the quality of your writing, then proofreading will be your best option. However, if you believe there is room for improvement in your writing, including the language use, expression and adherence to any formal writing conventions specific to your field, then editing is the right service for you!

It's simple! Firstly, make sure your document fulfils the minimum standard of an A4 document,  size 12 font, Times New Roman or Arial, single spaced. Click on the tab 'Order Now' and follow the prompts.

We understand that life is always going, and you need someone to proofread and polish your work immediately. We offer a 24 hour turnaround express service with an additional standard charge of $10. This charge may be altered depending on the number of pages to be polished.  If you do require this express service, simply ensure you include the word "URGENT EXPRESS SERVICE" in the subject line of the email. 

We follow a number limit, as opposed to page reference. Technically, the minimum number of pages will be one.  As long as you have a document with some words on it for us to proofread and polish, we are content!

You are welcome to make any changes to the document prior to a response email being sent to you. We unfortunately cannot accept the request to cancel or make changes once the process of proofreading and editing has commenced.
