By using our services, you agree to comply with and are bound by the following terms and conditions.  

It is important to firstly distinguish between proofreading and editing. To request for proofreading services, your document will be examined for misspellings, incorrect/missed punctuation, inconsistencies (textual and numerical), and much more. To request for editing services, your document will be proofread as well as corrected for sentence construction and language clarity.  

Clients submitting material to Finishing Touches for editing or proofreading services retain copyright in their material. Your work is your own. We have developed a set of confidentiality procedures to ensure client confidentiality is respected at all times. Client records are confidential and will not be divulged to a third party. We will not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third party or use your e-mail address for unsolicited mail. 

Direct deposit using a bank transfer is the acceptable method of payment. All prices quoted are in Australian dollars and are based on the number of pages in the document you have submitted for editing or proofreading.

Finishing Touches strives to provide the highest quality editing services to its customers, and has developed quality assurance procedures to this end. However, we do not warrant that the end document will be completely accurate, complete, reliable, current or error-free. We provide advice on changes which you may accept, reject or further amend. The content of any finished work is therefore entirely the responsibility of the author.

Once payment has been received, you are confirming that work is to commence. If you wish to cancel the services you have ordered, please contact us immediately. We require a minimum 24 hours notice of any cancellation. Notification must be via email.  

No refunds will be offered after a service has begun. If a client is unhappy with our editing or proofreading services, an independent editor will review the work performed and, if necessary, re-edit the document at no extra cost.

My English Cheerleader

This unique program is offered to each individual student who applies online. If there are two or more students from the same family, each child must apply separately, and will therefore have their own separate payment plan. If two or more students use the 'My English Cheerleader' system that only one student applied for, and therefore misusing the system, a warning will be issued. Thereafter, the subscription will be automatically cancelled upon failure to comply with the terms and conditions. 

The teachers on the 'My English Cheerleader' system are qualified Australian teachers. Their operating hours for this system are from 9am to 8pm everyday. Nonetheless, they will endeavor to respond as soon as possible, including late or early hours of the day. 

Students are to act responsibly and appropriately at all times. Harassment and threats will NOT be tolerated. Failure to show respect will result in the subscription being terminated. 

This program encourages students to freely ask English support teachers any question related to English literature. This does not involve proofreading or editing; students will need to apply separately for a proofreading and editing service. Subjects other than English will not be reviewed.
